Poured concrete cracks, shifts, and stains over time. Pavers don't. I install paver walkways that handle Central Texas heat and clay soil without heaving or crumbling, and if a paver ever does get stained or damaged, it can be lifted and replaced individually — no jackhammer required.
Every walkway starts with a properly excavated and compacted base (this is the step corner-cutters skip, and the reason cheap paver jobs fail within a year). I grade for drainage, lay a compacted gravel and sand base, and set each paver by hand for a tight, even fit.

Pavers flex slightly with ground movement instead of cracking, and individual pavers can be replaced if one gets stained or damaged — a poured slab has to be redone entirely.
